Job Description:

Ecore International has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to become an Electro-mechanic I in our Lancaster, PA Maintenance Department.

The Electro-mechanic I works with electrical systems and Maintenance teams. This position is responsible for performing electrical and mechanical installations, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.  The Electro-mechanic I will test and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems.  In addition, this position will support the overall facility maintenance including but not limited to: basic plumbing, snow removal, event preparation, basic construction, painting, etc.  The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently, utilizing good work practices as part of a maintenance team or when working independently with minimal supervision.  They will adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies. Additional responsibilities will include: periodic training of proper system and machine operation and maintenance, assistance with creating SOP and other related documentation and cross-training into other job functions as needed.  This position requires routine attendance to departmental, production, safety and Company meetings.


Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • 6 months minimum internal training or 1 year external formal training in a structured educational environment within the Electro-Mechanical field of study
  • 3+ years experience and knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine shop tools and equipment within a similar working environment
  • Able to read and interpret: electrical line diagrams, schematics and blue prints 
  • Basic knowledge of installing and modifying Variable Frequency Drives (VFD); installing, trouble shooting PLC (Allen Bradley, etc.)  and sequential programming devices
  • Experience with running conduit, relays, terminations, controls wiring, 120/240/480 volts
  • Experience with replacement and light troubleshooting of AC and DC motor drive controls 
  • Ability to use all multi-meter, amp-meter, oscilloscope and other electrical test tools necessary
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems 
  • Ability to work well with a team as well as independently 
  • Basic computer skills (email, PM schedules, work orders, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment (loud, dirty, confined spaces, etc.)
  • Valid PA driver’s license with ability to drive 24,900lb box truck or flat bed with manual or automatic transmission
  • Ability to exert up to 130 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
