Job Description:
Ecore International has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to become a 2nd shift Maintenance Mechanic II in our Lancaster, PA Maintenance Department.

The Maintenance Mechanic II takes a lead role when working with Maintenance teams.  They are responsible for supporting production by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all production equipment.  In addition, this position will support the overall facility maintenance including but not limited to: plumbing, snow removal, event preparation, basic construction, painting, etc.  The successful candidate will possess significant experience and an in-depth knowledge of manufacturing equipment installation and maintenance.  They  will have a genuine desire to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently, utilizing good work practices as part of a maintenance team or when working independently with minimal supervision.  They will adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies. Additional responsibilities will include: periodic training of proper machine operation and maintenance, assistance with creating SOP and other related documentation and cross-training into other job functions as needed.  This position requires routine attendance to departmental, production, safety and Company meetings.
 

 

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Advanced degree, apprenticeship in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent years of experience
  • 5+ years industrial maintenance experience in a similar working environment; operating hand and power tools, precision measuring or testing devices (tape measure, calipers, metric & standard)
  • 5+ years experience and knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine shop tools and equipment in order to perform preventative maintenance, major repairs, complex machine set-ups & installation of parts
  • Experience welding and fabricating
  • Proven analytical skills to determine root cause to repair & improve machinery
  • Electrical skills to include: change fuses, check voltages, replace & install variable frequency drives and motor controls 120/240/480
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints, schematic drawings and diagrams
  • 12 months Fork Truck experience
  • Reasonable English fluency (read, write, speak)
  • Basic computer skills (email, PM schedules, work orders, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment (loud, dirty, confined spaces, etc.)
  • Valid PA driver’s license with ability to drive 24,900lb box truck or flat bed with manual or automatic transmission
  • 130 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
